Pick Wayne's Brain

Really, Michele? Really?

I need the help of someone who lives in Minnesota, preferably in Michele Bachmann’s district I just received an e-mail from her (I sign up for newsletters from several Republicans just to see what kind of crap they spew to their supposed supporters, of which I am not one) in which she claimed something rather dubious in veracity. Let me quote the first part of the e-mail: (more…)

Adventures in Tweeting – May 17, 2012

I managed to get only one tweet shown during the Ed Show tonight, and most people probably missed it. It was shown during the promo-break about fifteen minutes into the program, when people were likely out of the room getting snacks or using their bathrooms. Ed had been talking about the aborted plan by the right wing to resurrect the bogeyman, Rev Jeremiah Wright. It just shows that when they have no good ideas, they resort to personal attacks, and not even on the people they’re running against.

Tomorrow’s another day, and then the weekend, when I enjoy tweeting during Up with Chris Hayes. His show doesn’t post tweets in the crawl, but the tweeting does sometimes lead to interesting conversations (or convos, as they’re called in the Twitterverse.)

Adventures in Tweeting – May 16, 2012 Twitter Fights

I don’t like to sit back and let people tweet nonsense about our nation being a secular one. So, after responding to someone else, I was met with this reply:

That’s when someone had to try to give a clever response, so I let him have it:

He seemed to have nothing to come back with except even more nonsense:

Sometimes they make it too easy. 🙂

UPDATE: Only had one tweet make it to the Ed Show tonight

Adventures in Tweeting – May 15, 2012

Lately I’ve been having fun trying to get my tweets put up on the bottom of the screen during “The Ed Show” (MSNBC, 8 PM ET). Last night, I had four of them put up, which was a new record for me. Tonight, Tuesday, May 15, I wasn’t as lucky.

During the first segment about JP Morgan Chase’s loss of two billion dollars, I got this tweet displayed:

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on whether or not you like my tweets), I could not replicate my “media presence” of the night before, and this was the last tweet that I saw make it to the air. Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow night. 🙂

If you’d like to follow me on Twitter, my Twitter handle is @wayneaschneider. My most recent tweets appear in the upper right-hand corner of this blog.

Happy tweeting.
