Palin Clown
Original words and music “Allentown” by Billy Joel
Additional lyrics by Wayne A. Schneider, 2008

Well they’re giving us this Palin clown
And they’re closing all the reasoning down
Out in Washington they’re building ties
Going on shows, handing out lies
Well her partner fought the Vietnam war
Spent his service on the prison floor
Joined her husband in the NRA,
Asked him to shoot, what can you say?
And they’re giving us this Palin clown
Why this senselessness was handed down
Well it’s getting pretty hard to say

Well we’re looking at this Palin clown
For the sense of mania there to be found
For the promises her party gave
If we worked hard, if we could save
So the nomination left us appalled
And they never really calmed us at all
No they never told us what was real
Oil and war, how does she feel?
And we’re looking at this Palin clown
But they’ve taken all the truth to the ground
And the truthful people stowed away

Every girl has a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as this bimbo got
But something happens when she’s put in her place
They throw an American flag in our face

Well they’re giving us this Palin clown
And it’s hard to keep a good fact down
But I won’t be giving up today

And it’s getting pretty hard to say
Why they’re giving us this Palin clown

  1. Dear Wayne,

And you want the universe to think you’re a feminist??? Let’s be clear…..you support uppity women IF they are liberals. I would expect you to disagree with Palin’s political positions but hey, here’s a gal who embodies the idea of the multitasking SuperMOM/WIFE/PROFESSIONAL….. and you can’t stand it.

    Regards to Jane…..

  2. How do you conclude that I “want the universe to think I’m a feminist”? Are you stereoptyping me again, Miss Aphrodite?
